Biography

Residing near Dallas,Texas,  Andrea is the wife of a Worship Pastor and mother of two darling girls, Audrey and Allison.

 

In 1997, she graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, and did postgraduate work at Texas A&M University, Commerce in 1998.  After teaching in Texas public schools for 3 years, Andrea left her position as an elementary educator to stay home and raise her children.  At the same time, she also began working from home as a Website Manager for EducationAppreciation.com, a website dedicated to assisting teachers in using the Internet in the classroom.

 

Andrea has received training in public speaking from CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors, and Speaker Services) and has also been trained through Speak Up with Confidence Seminars.  She has had articles published on Crosswalk.com, Hearts at Home magazine, and stories published in The Groovy Chicks' Road Trip to Love, by Dena Dyer and Laurie Barber Copeland (published by Cook Communications) and Wounded by Words, by Susan Titus Osborn (New Hope Publishers, due for publication in 2007).  Andrea has also been a contributing author for Marita Littauer's recent books, Wired that Way and Communication Plus.

 

Andrea has recently joined the CLASS Training Staff for the CLASSeminar, and has also been invited to speak, together with her husband, at the East Texas Christian Writer's Conference the Glorieta Christian Writer's Conference.

Andrea's husband, Gary Chevalier, has also been trained in public speaking and serves alongside her on the CLASS Training Staff.  They enjoy teaching and leading seminars, workshops, and retreats together, and sharing with others the tools and lessons that they have learned along their journey together.
